Welcome Taige! Could you please tell us a little bit about you and how you got into writing
Writing has been in my blood and soul forever. For as long as I can remember I’ve always been an avid reader and a writer. When I was a child I used to make up my own stories and share them with my family and friends. As I got older I continued to write. When I went to college I started getting more information on actually writing professionally. I joined some writing organization and started to learn my craft.
Could you tell us about your books?
My books invoke all the emotions in the reader. From happiness to tears. I love to take a reader to the high of happiness then the release of tears then back to that wonderful place of satisfaction of romance.
How do you come up with your characters?
I love to create the familiar and then put my spin on it. So my characters are varied and have such interesting lives and things they do. Lots of my characters are paranormal and can do such fantastic things. Those that are human also have things that make them what they are.
Speaking of interesting characters, if you had super powers what would they be and what would you call yourself?
The ability to create stories that made people’s soul resonate. And I would be called Rhythm Maker.
I like that, Rhythm Maker. So what happened to the first novel you ever wrote?
It got published. (grin) After a million-and-one self revisions and doubling in word count. Ripping it apart then putting it back together again. LOL!
I’m not sure I’d have the patience to look over my first manuscript like that. Speaking of eyes, I need a new pair of glasses, what do you think of these? Umm… you look nice. *whispering* What is she thinking? *loudly* You know what, Nina, those don’t look good on you. Here take theses (putting them on) those look so much better. Strike a pose. Oh, yeah you look just like Lady Gaga.
Yeah, but trust me when I say you don’t want to hear me sing. So another off the cuff question … if you were sick in bed which movie would be yoru comfort movie and why?
Aw I want more than one. Lady Hawke, A-Team and Transformer 1 & 2. And all the Disney cartoon Movies. Since I am sick, I have time to see them all. I love all of them. Yeah I am greedy. LOL.
Who/What do you attribute your success to?
Hard work and perseverance. I work hard for what I want. Even forgo things to get things done. And I keep at it until I succeed.
Anything else you’d like to share with your readers?
I love to draw. I’m an avid seamstress. I can whip up an outfit quick if I have to go someplace special and have nothing to wear. I love to cook. I’m a voracious reader. My library in my house and on my computer is massive. That’s one of the first things you notice when you come to my house.

I’m going to admit I spend all day on the computer, but do very little internet surfing. I have places I hang out, but I don’t have a regular route of blogs I visit. I find posts via other people who post the links on the loops I frequent. If they didn’t, I wouldn’t see some really good, thought provoking stuff. I just want to share with you some great places I’ve been this past week.
Like Maureen Johnson’s great post on social media and a call to authors who choose NOT to brand themselves. (Note: This blog was posted in the summer, but this is the first time I’ve seen it.) This approach isn’t for every author, but she makes some great points. Everyone is screaming for authors to get out there and market themselves on every social media platform available. Yes, I believe it’s important to market onesself, but I really like Ms. Johnson’s take on things.
Julia Barrett did a great three part series on “The Secret Success of Romance”. Unfortunately, the people who need to see this post aren’t the smart and talented readers and authors stopping by. It really needs to get out to the people out in the blogosphere who still believe the romance genre involves Neanderthal Dukes bullying women and virgin waifs who do nothing but simper and whine. It’s a great series. You should check it out and then repost it … perhaps it will go viral and help educate the masses who wouldn’t pick up a “bodice ripper” novel if their life depended on it.
And this shout out goes to a good friend, Constance Ruth Clark whose debut release is coming out in May 2011 from Lyrical Press. She’s been blogging for awhile and now is on bed rest for a couple of weeks. Why don’t you head on over there and show her some comment love, she could use the company.
Of course I’ve got internet surfing on the brain as I’m gearing up for a two week blog tour (which is kind of like a virtually book signing without the fur of having cookies and coffee) to promote “Maid for Master“. Here’s the schedule:
Dirty Sexy Books: Jan 12 RELEASE DAY!
Amber Skyze: Jan 17
Tina Donahue: Jan 18
Adele Dubois: Jan 19
Romance Books R Us: Jan 20
Julia Barrett’s World: Jan 21

I’ll be posting different guest spots and there will be a give away to one lucky commenter chosen from all the guest posts. So please stop by and say hello to my hosts!
And of course if you have some time on your hands, feel free to swing over HERE. It’s become one of my favorite places to hang out and drool. 😉
