This week most of Six Sentence Sunday is taking this week off. But I’m just beginning to get in the groove of this meme. I love to find six … just six lines from one of my books that intrigue the reader. This week I’ve got six from Invitation to Ecstasy. I hope you enjoy …
Lying on her private stretch of beach for over an hour, the morning sun cocooning her in warmth, Sara had been going over and over every detail of the previous night. She kept coming back to the same conclusion—Derek wasn’t as inexperienced as Ethan had led her to believe.
A gentle breeze blew off the ocean, cooling her skin and fluttering the gossamer curtains of the cabana where she hid. She knew she was being a coward, but she had no desire to run into the man who had attempted to push her beyond her limit. No Dom had ever used her own safe word and walked from a scene. She wasn’t really sure how she was even supposed to react to that reality.
Welcome! This week’s six come from my contemporary erotic romance “Maid for Master” available from Ellora’s Cave.
Even though Jonathon Brierton wasn’t particularly religious he prayed for Divine intervention. Not that he wanted any lightning strikes or halos of light illuminating the shadowed corner of the club where he’d hidden himself, but a little more help in the patience department would certainly go a long way at the moment. It went against his baser nature to sit back and wait rather than walking over and convincing the copper-haired beauty leaning over the railing across the way to put on his collar and join him in one of the private dungeons below.
She was a natural submissive. He felt it in every fiber of his being. Claire Calderwood just didn’t know it—or at the very least—was unwilling to accept that part of herself.

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday. This month my name appeared in the Romance Writer’s Report magazine. Not for first sale or newest amazing book deal. Nope. It was part of an ad by the Fantasy, Futuristic and Fantasy chapter announcing the winners of their Prism Contest. My novel, A Touch of Lilly placed third in the erotic romance category. It was in reeeeally small print … but hey, I was in there!
So I thought I’d celebrate and share six lines from this science fiction menage story:
Lilly’s focus had been on Dallas and her desire for him. But having the heat of Thaegan’s body pressed against her back certainly kicked her heart rate up another notch.
“I was hoping to join you.” Thaegan’s words came out as if he’d dragged them over a burning road of molten lust.
“I don’t know. I…” Her body thrummed with energy and need and Lilly didn’t really know what she wanted.

Lilly D’Angelo could have been walking into any of the seedier establishments lining Forty-fifth and Wester on Chicago’s south side. Except for the clientele, the tavern’s owner had managed to replicate nearly every detail right down to the blue haze and the soft crooning of a jazz band on the corner stage. The acrid stench and gruff hum of a Friday night crowd tripped Lilly down memory lane-—a place she had no desire to travel at the moment.
Lilly pushed the sour thoughts of home out of her mind and focused her energy on the patrons at the bar. Morphing her features into her sexiest vixen pout, she moved gracefully toward the long bar on the other side of the room. The eyes watching her ass sashay around the battered tables were clustered on various life forms-—none of them human.
Thanks so much for stopping over. I’m thoroughly enjoying this meme. Your comments totally make my day! See you next week!
Welcome to my new weekly meme Six Sentence Sunday. This week I’ve chosen six sentences to my newest release Deceive Her With Desire. A sexy romantic suspense with a feisty landscaper. A DEA agent seeking redemption. And a drug czar looking to kill them both.
She pushed herself up, ducking her head away from the oarlock. She wiped at the sand on her bottom. “You scared the living shit out of me.”
Biting back a smile, Ayden watched her glistening tears turn to fury. That he could handle. An angry woman was one hundred times easier to placate than a despondent one.
I’m brand new to this meme, but I thought I’d give it a try and see what you think.
The rules are simple:
1) Pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published.
2) Pick six sentences. Not separate, but six that flow together.
3) Post ‘em on Sunday.
Sara Lancaster had definitely made the wrong decision.
Less than twenty-four hours ago she was sure this weekend was just what she needed. Eight hours ago, excitement had fluttered in her stomach as she’d left Boston, overjoyed to accept the invitation. Hell, just two hours ago she’d been giddy with anticipation as she’d collected her bags at the Key West airport and caught a taxi to the boat landing.
But her tiny apartment and the bungalow where she currently stood weren’t merely thousands of miles apart—a whole world separated the comfortable life she’d finally made for herself and the fantasy she was standing in.
What the hell had she been thinking?
