Another week without my novel being finished. Arg. What the heck is wrong with me? I’ve got the story and I keep plugging along, but it just doesn’t seem to want to wind itself to the end. I know this is a good thing, but I’d just like to finish this first draft so I can clean it up and get it out to my editor before Christmas. But that means focusing and getting it done! Okay, right after I finish blogging I’m going right over there and plugging away. Riiiiiight.
I spent the weekend with my family which was wonderful. We celebrated by just being together playing games and visiting. It was wonderful. I’ve unpacked just to begin filling the suitcases again. Mr. Nina and I are headed out to Arizona and then California. We’ve never been to either place so it should be fun. But did it have to be so close to Christmas?
May I just mention I have no shopping done and with three children who still enjoy the whole stocking/Santa tree thing … this is so not good. And it looks like we’re getting a snowmobile for Mr. Nina for Christmas. My idea. I just don’t know what I was thinking when that one came around. It’s sort of a “now or never” situation and since Mr. Nina works really hard and doesn’t ask for much … I’m thinking now has arrived.
The snow has finally arrived this week. It’s not like I wasn’t expecting it, but the bare ground and mild temperatures were actually really nice. Now I have to battle with boots and winter gear. Ick. But I have to admit, it’s beautiful the way its coating the trees and certainly does make me feel like Christmas.
So that’s what I’m up to. I sure do hope your week ahead is wonderful for you.
