"The action is almost non-stop in this book and the emotions that the characters are experiencing come across as genuine and heartfelt. I understood Lilly's desire to be loved for herself and not for the physiological effects that she could force on a man. I also understood Dallas's disenchantment with a job that he had undertaken with high ideals and with the loneliness that all law enforcement officers seem to experience at some time or another during their career. Thaegan was a great alien and a true "brother in arms" to Dallas. I am really looking forward to reading more of Ms. Pierce's work."

"'Bonded Souls', the prequel to her Shifting Bonds series, grabbed me by the heart strings. I felt for the betrayed woman and hoped she'd find closure and the perfect man for her. This is a sensual read with lots of intense heat. The suspense and action kept the pages turning, while the passion inflamed my cheeks to a bright red. I'd recommend this book to any number of friends and am looking forward to reading more from Nina Pierce.

'Shadows Of Fire' is a unique story because there is so much going on in a short time frame. Alex is troubled and her motives aren't always clear until the end. Reese knows what he wants but struggles to go after it until another man steps in his path. When he does make his move though, the two spontaneously combust. The heat between Alex and Reese is off the charts.
